I started going to him because of tightness in my back and feeling the need to "self-adjust" my neck - which I'm sure is not good for me! My son and husband also had their own unique back issues so all 3 of us started going. Within a month of treatment, going once a week, we felt much better and started going once a month for maintenance after. Dr. Philipson does not try and upsell treatment just to make money. He really treats each individual and their issues and is very upfront about how he thinks he can improve your current condition and what is realistic for you to expect. I would highly recommend Dr. Philipson if you are looking for an honest chiropractor, who's reasonably priced and really knows what he's doing.

The day after I hit the bottom of the ocean, Dr. Philipson adjusted me and I could walk again. In less than I month I was running around at recess with the rest of my classmates.Dr. Philipson uses several techniques and distinguishes himself from other chiropractors because he genuinely cares about his patients. He wants to see them get better as quickly as possible and in order to do so he is continually improving his skill set. Additionally, I have thank Dr. Philipson for helping me perform to the best of my ability as a collegiate athlete. Ask him to use the scar tissue destroyer or perform Active Release for even better results. If you feel adventurous, he's also an excellent hypnotist.Even though work has taken me to the East Coast, I make sure I see him for a tune up every time I'm in Southern California. Considering I live on the other side of the country, I've tried to find a chiropractor who is able to adjust me as well as Dr. Philipson. It has been five years and I still haven't found a replacement.

After moving to OC, I had to stop due to cost. My back and neck were in rough shape as a result, but it took being in a car accident for me to suck it up and force myself to further research doctors in the area who could treat me. Everyone I called was AT LEAST $75 per visit, which is a lot for my current budget and how often I would need to go due to injury. Fortunately, I found Dr. Philipson on Yelp and quickly learned that his appointments only cost $35 per visit, including the initial visit!! My mind is literally still blown at how affordable his services are. When I originally spoke with him on the phone, I actually asked him, "what's the catch??" because I was so skeptical! Folks, there is no catch. Dr. Philipson's business platform is that he provides accessible health care, and it's so true! If I were going to another practice, I would still be in intense pain from the accident I was in, purely because I would only be able to go half as often due to cost. In addition, Dr. Philipson is not one of those practitioners who tries to keep you stuck getting treatment forever, either - as soon as you show progress, he decreases the frequency of treatment. Dr. Philipson truly makes holistic health care available to all. Besides affordability, Dr. Philipson is also a very skilled Chiropractor. I've been to 6 different chiropractors over the years and he is absolutely the best one I've been to. He is extremely knowledgeable, and his adjustments work wonders. I was in pretty intense pain from my accident, and he cleared up all of my pain in a matter of a few short weeks. He also uses a tool that breaks up scar tissue in your muscles, which has been bringing me additional health benefits! Dr. Philipson's "bedside manner" is another aspect to rave about. He has a very personal approach to everything he does. He runs everything on his own, no secretary, etc. - so when you call the office, you reach him directly (that impressed me!) You can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients and their wellbeing. He also does not treat his patients like they are incapable of understanding medical information, and he takes the time to explain, in depth, what your condition is, as well as what treatment he's going to use and why. He is also very gentle with his adjustments, and makes sure you're comfortable and ready (both mentally and physically) before he performs any treatment. Lastly, Dr. Philipson is super flexible about scheduling: he has given me appointments outside his normal hours, squeezed me into a busy schedule for my own convenience, and been very understanding about last-minute rescheduling. In conclusion, Dr. Philipson is phenomenal and I have no idea why anyone would even think of going to anyone else. I tell everyone I know that they should go to him, and you should, too!!
